As the CFO, Mr. Sullivan works directly with the CEO and the entire executive team to ensure that Brandon-COPsync meets and exceeds the employees’ and investors’ expectations. Mr. Sullivan oversees all financial and reporting matters. In addition, Mr. Sullivan manages the Company’s day-to-day operations and has responsibility for strategic vision, operational excellence and personnel. He directs all strategic and tactical matters including financial planning and analysis, cost and margin control, revenue recognition, facilities management and investor relations. In addition, Mr. Sullivan manages Brandon-COPsync’s nationwide, real-time, multi-agency shared network software platform “rollout,” and provides direct support to the sales and legal teams in contract negotiations. Mr. Sullivan supervises the revenue recognition process for three distinct business products and serves as the primary contact for Brandon-COPsync partners, resellers and channel partners.
Prior to joining Brandon-COPsync, Mr. Sullivan spent ten years at the Boston office of a Big Four Firm specializing in the audits of publicly-traded technology clients and in Transaction Services, performing work in Mergers and Acquisitions and Forensic Accounting. He previously served as Director of Finance for a $1 Billion software company where he performed US Controller functions, and delivered presentations to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors regarding the company’s software revenue recognition policies, evolving industry guidance and risks for the company’s varying business models.
Mr. Sullivan received his B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and his MBA from Northeastern University. He served as an adjunct professor at the Boston College Carroll School of Management in Chestnut Hill, MA where he lectured for financial accounting, cost accounting and auditing classes.
