Brandon/COPsync partnership seeks to overcome the current lack of technology within our law enforcement communities by providing law enforcement officers with access to real-time, accurate information. With COPsync technology, data can be easily customized to meet any department's specific requirements allowing for instant access to reports, alerts and suspect history which translates into dramatically improved officer safety, rapid and accurate case resolution, and ultimately the most cost-effective and efficient law enforcement structure possible.

Through the use of Mobile Data Interface (MDI) software which resides on the officer's mobile computer, law enforcement agencies will have the ability to share information as never before – nationally, regionally, by territory, within jurisdictions, between departments and between officers. COPsync provides information-sharing across agency boundaries, whether local, state or federal. COPsync addresses the number one stated issue from the 9/11 report: The need for an unrestricted, nationwide, information-sharing capability within the law enforcement community (i.e. Interoperability).

The COPsync founders are active police officers who developed www.carad.com (sold to eBay, Inc March 2003) and initiated this vision with the forethought and understanding that this was going to be a huge undertaking. Beginning in 2003, over a year was dedicated to software architecture design, with an additional four years committed to software development. After audit and testing requirements were met, a development stage ran from July 2007 through August 2008. At that point, the existing management team of COPsync initiated full production on August 11, 2008 finding immediate success with nearly two hundred fifty agencies committing via contract to use this technology to implement life-saving tactics through the sharing of key real-time information. COPsync (COYN) is listed on NASDAQ.

Finally an Interoperable Solution for Law Enforcement and the Public Safety Community Providing True Information Sharing from a Net-Centric Perspective

A Net-Centric concept of interconnecting information and services through a communications network to achieve synchronization of events and their consequences.

The goal being intelligence led policing on an interoperable scale, which can manage information sharing at the point of contact and accelerate delivery of this critical knowledge to save lives, solve crimes and defeat terrorist plots.

This concept is built upon true information sharing among and between all levels of law enforcement and public safety agencies irrespective of jurisdictional boundaries.

Information sharing, although not a new concept, does not exist in the purest form for law enforcement and public safety units who continue to operate in silo environments.

With leadership from the President and Secretary Napolitano emphasizing information sharing and interoperability, the law enforcement community and public safety agencies have taken notice and are moving toward meeting the mandate on the local, state and national levels.

The solution to meet this mandate is a platform that can upload and download collected information and deliver it to those who need it most, members on the front lines of law enforcement and public safety across the country.

The platform is an interface between the many agencies that collect various pieces of information but are unable to connect the dots to reveal the true intentions of those who wish do to us harm.

COPsync, a public service technology company, employing its mobile data interface software solution, offers a revolutionary concept in law enforcement and public safety by allowing real time information sharing as never before – nationally, regionally, by territory, within jurisdictions, between departments and between officers.

The COPsync interface can be the conduit between all federal agencies and its intended recipients in real time through the resource retrieval methods used by law enforcement and public safety without major reengineering of existing systems.

The mobile data interface typically resides on an officer's laptop in a police vehicle but can also be accessed by anyone in the public safety domain willing and able to share information and in need of information to meet its mission.

COPsync is the only product that can provide real time information sharing at the point of contact providing law enforcement and public safety an effective solution to interoperability data collection and sharing, while providing increased officer safety for those in the field.

Interoperability and information sharing in the form of a secure intra/inter agency instant messaging and email system to further facilitate the sharing of information among law enforcement and public safety operatives.

An Amber Alert type notification component within law enforcement and public safety at the point of contact utilizing an automatic vehicle locator mapping system.
